In 2023, the salary of an engineer climbed by 45 percent and in 2024 by another 28 percent.

Later that year, they accepted a position at another company with a compensation package ₹19 LPA, for the first time for them as their monthly earnings exceeded ₹1 lakh. “I was really proud of myself,” they admitted.
After completing 3 years of experience, the technician said that they began to prepare intensively for product company interviews. “I created a new LeetCode account to track my progress and started a tough LLD and HLD preparation schedule. I grinded like crazy, no weekends, no trips. I went all in. I actually failed a few interviews that were supposed to be ‘easy’ at first and I wasn’t sure how I screwed up,” OP wrote.

The effort eventually paid off as the engineer received offers from companies like ServiceNow, PayPal and Cisco before finally securing it ₹65 LPA offering from a leading product company. “It is ₹4 million + in a single month. It’s an insane amount that no one in my entire family tree has ever seen,” they wrote, adding that they feel proud to be able to improve their family’s financial situation.
