In the development that is likely to cause new problems for the congress and congress for youth, the Secretary General of the Kannur District Congress (DCC) was accused by the Vigil Mohan Congress leader of the use of counterfeit voter identification cards in the Elections of the Congress for Youth and abuse the Wayanad Party.
The controversy broke out after Mr. Vijayan allegedly published the voice recording in the group of Sreekandapuram Congress leaders, which appeared in the media. In the sound clip Mr. Vijayan accuses Mr. Moan and other leaders of the youth congress to cheat in leading positions using counterfeit voter identification cards.
He also claimed that there is no lack of transparency in the collection and use of the Auxiliary Funds for Wayanad victims.
The incident follows the resignation of Thiruvananthapuram DCC President Paloda Ravi as a result of a leaked telephone call. Meanwhile, the President of the Congress Committee of Kerala Pradesh Sunny Joseph urged the party leader to be careful in their statements.
