French President Emmanuel Macron will visit India from February 17 to 19, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Tuesday.
During his three-day visit to India, Macron will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in addition to attending the AI Impact summit.
“The French President will attend the AI ImpactSummit hosted by India in New Delhi next week,” the MEA statement said.
The two leaders will discuss strengthening bilateral ties in a wide range of areas, the MEA said in a statement.
President Macron had earlier visited India on 25-26 January 2024 to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations as a guest of honor at the invitation of Modi.
PM Modi and Macron will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest, including Indo-Pacific cooperation.
The two leaders will also visit Mumbai to jointly launch the “India-France Year of Innovation”, the MEA said.
Last year, India and France signed a declaration of intent to partner on advanced and small modular nuclear reactors during Modi’s visit to France.
