
Ben Shelton survived in his first round of the French Open 2025 great scare. On Sunday, May 25, the American defeated the Italian Lorenzo Sonego in an exciting five hundred in Philippe-Catrier. The young man lasted three and 31 minutes before won the match 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

In the second round, Shelton will be against the winner of the match between Richard Gasquet and Ugo Blanchet’s qualifications.
In other matches, another American Frances Tiafoe recorded his 50. Victory in Grand Slams after defeating Roman Safiullin 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 in two hours and 23 minutes.
In court, Suzanne Lenglen, Tiafoe, who defeated Rafael Nadal in the US Open 2022, pulled 42 minutes to come Trumps. In the second round he will face the Spanish Pablo Carreno Bust.
