Lorenzo Mousetti and Zheng Qinwen secured their seats in the second round of the French Open on Sunday commanding direct victories and set the tone on the busy start day at Roland Garros.
Mouseti, eighth seed from Italy, exceeded the uneven start before sailing around the German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann 7-5, 6-2, 6-0 in Philippe-Chamrier. The 22 -year -old man, one of the most conjurious artists on the clay this season, needed a little over two hours to complete the victory.

“The first man to start Philippe-Catrier this year was pressure,” Mousti said after the match. “It’s an incredible honor. I played many beautiful matches and I had incredible memories in this court.”
The Mouse, who reached the semifinals this season at all three Masters Actions at Clay, will further face the French surrogate coat of arms Valentin Royer or Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan, a happy loser.

Zheng, the eighth seed of the tournament, last played on the playground during the Olympic finals last August, where she defeated World No. 1 Iga Swiatlek to win gold. On Sunday she showed a small rust, dominated the pace of the match and purely hit both wings.
The victory also served as a degree of revenge for Zheng, which last summer lost only the previous meeting with Pavlyuchenko in Cincinnati. The victory was improved by her first round in Paris to 4-0.
Elsewhere, the American 15 advanced. Frances tiafoe seed with a victory of 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 over the Russian Safiullin Roman. In the second round he will face the Spanish Pablo Carreno Bust.
