Andr Pradesh, which meets one of the election promises of “Super Six”, will be introduced by a free system of traveling for women and transgender from August 15, announced state transport, youth and Sport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Monday. The Minister, who concerns a press conference at the Secretariat, said that the cabinet is expected to be a formal consent at its 6th August meeting.
As part of the initiative, women and transgender individuals staying in Andhra Pradesh will be able to travel free of charge on the Veluga, Ultra Pallen Veluga, City Ordinary, Express and Metro Express Buses throughout the state. The recipients must create a valid identification such as the Aadhaar card, the ID of the selector or the assignment card to take advantage of the advantage. Mr. Ramprasad Reddy said that the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naidu ordered officials to ensure flawless and transparent system implementation. To this end, a group of three ministers studied similar schemes in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana before completing the model Andhra Pradesh.
The scheme will apply to 6,700 buses – disturbed 74% of the state fleet – and is expected to stand around 1,950 Crore per year. This year, the government also earns 3,000 electric buses and is planned to add another 1,400 in the next two years.
