Ananya Development Center (CDC) in Hyderabad offers free development screening and consulting services for children younger age. This initiative also expands support for parents and carers focusing on early identification and interference with neurodevelopmental conditions. April is observed as a month of awareness of autism.
“Early Screening and Intervention Are Crucial for A Child’s Development and Quality of Life. The First 1,000 Days, From Conception to the Child’s Second Birthday, Are Critical for Brain Development. IF Any Behavioural or Development Difference Are Obserored During Thais Window Support Such as Speech and Occupational Therapy Can Significantly Improve OutComes in Conditions Such as Autism, ”Said Madhavi Adimulam, Founder of the Society of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Director of Ananya CDC.
India has seen a constant increase in the diagnoses of autism in recent years. According to the Inclen study, the prevalence of autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) is estimated at 1.12 per 100 children. Experts attribute this increase in increased consciousness, revised diagnostic instructions and a gradual decrease in social stigma surrounding neurodevelopmental conditions.
However, the growing number of diagnoses also revealed the main gaps in the infrastructure and trained staff. “There is a serious lack of developmental experts, limited access to multidisciplinary therapeutic services and lack of inclusive educational systems,” said Shruti Misra, development and behavioral pediatricians in Ankura Hospital for women and children.
