Free passage of Delhi for medium-sized electric trucks finds no takers | Today’s news
“This difference in initial costs between diesel and electric trucks makes the economics of the unit challenging. In the N2 category, adoption lags behind the N1 and N3 categories as many logistics service providers (LSPs) buying these e-trucks have either congregated in N1 e-truck or N3 operations,” said Sharif Qamar, director, Transport and Urban Tankers, Delhi. “Once these LSP buyers and manufacturers switch to N2 electric trucks, the economics of the unit will be more stable and profitable, ultimately leading to wider adoption.”
