Free bus pass for all students: Educators and student organizations welcome the move

Educators and student organizations have welcomed the state government’s decision to extend the free bus ticket system to all school and college students.

Niranjanaradhya VP, Development Educator said, “We welcome the government’s decision to extend the free bus pass option which was already available to all girl students in Karnataka. This is a long-standing demand that has now been fulfilled. This will greatly help students, especially from poor and disadvantaged communities, in completing their education.”

Student organizations such as All India Democratic Student’s Organization (AIDSO) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also welcomed the government’s decision. The AIDSO Karnataka State Committee welcomed the move and urged the government to implement the scheme right from the beginning of the academic year without any technical glitches.
