Frederick Forsyth, the author of DNA Jackal and the fertile British thriller writer, died at the age of 86 after a short illness, his literary agents said. The best -selling author was surrounded by his family, when he died at home on Monday morning, Curtis Brown said.
“We mourn over one of the greatest writers of thrillers in the world,” said agent Jonathan Lloyd.
Who was Frederick Forsyth?
Forsyth was born in Ashford in Kent and in 1938 began his career in the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1956 before he left for a career in journalism after two years.
