Fraudsters create a fake account in NTR Collector’s name

The miscreants created a fake Instagram account posing as District Collector NTR G. Lakshmish and sent messages to some officers and members of the public asking them to send money.

Some people noticed the hoax and alerted the Collector on Saturday (June 20, 2026), who warned the public and appealed not to respond to such reports.

“Some fraudsters have opened fake Instagram accounts in my name and impersonate me. I request the public not to believe and respond to such accounts,” said Mr. Lakshmisha. “A police complaint would be filed for cyber fraud,” the Collector said.
