A ten-year-old boy, Gandikota Balaji, was beaten to death by some miscreants at Nandiwada in Krishna district. The boy studied in the 4th grade.
The boy’s grandmother G. Lakshmi (68) sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Vijayawada.
The villains attacked the boy and the old woman with boulders while they slept. The reason for the attack was not immediately known, Krishna District Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Vidyasagar Naidu said.
Nandiwada police have registered a case and started investigation.
“We are investigating the case from various angles. The condition of the boy’s grandmother is critical,” the SP told The Hindu.
