The chief archivalist of the Syro-Malabar Mar Raphael Thattil on Thursday issued decrees that built four new church provinces in Faridabad, Ujjain, Kalyan and Shamshabad.
Mary Kuriakose Bharaniculangara, Mar Sebastian Vadakel Mst, Mar Sebastian Vaniyapuracal and Mar Prince and Antony Rungendan were appointed as Metropolitan Archbishops of the Prime Minister.
The decision was announced at a public meeting held at Mount St. Thomas in Kakkanad in the presence of fathers of the Synod, according to the edition.
The Synod decided to reorganize the territory of eleven eparchies of redistributions of certain areas of the Shamshabad eparchy. The Archbishop has issued decrees that redefine the territory of eparchies, including Adilabad, Bijnor, Chanda, Gorakhpur, Kalyan, Jagdalpur, Rajkot, Sagar, Satna, Shamshabad and Ujjain.
