
Police of Kumaraswamy’s layout registered the case against a group of four men who allegedly attacked a bus driver connected to the Bengalur Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) on Thursday.
The driver, Hucchirappa, was heading to the Kadarenahalli Totad, when four men on two motorcycles came badly from the opposite side and shouted at the driver. When Hucchirappa reacted, four men got on the bus, threw abuse, pulled him out, and attacked him.
The bus conductor Prakash drew attention to the control room, after which the accused fled from the scene.
Abdul Ahad, Director, Vigilance, BMTC, went to the place and admitted the driver to the hospital before he filed a case against four men.
BMTC CEO realized the incident and asked officials to release strategies to ensure the necessary protection for BMTC employees to prevent such incidents in the future.
The police launched a probe to identify the accused.
In a similar incident, the Banasawadi Police started the search for a motorcyclist who was armed with a knife, created on Thursday on a busy road near Lingarajapuram overpass.
The accused rode on two -round wheels and had an argument with the author of the authorickshaw. The accused allegedly stopped the bike, pulled out the knife, and tried to attack the author’s authorickshaw drivers.
Although the driver escaped closely, the accused damaged the vehicle. Around passers -by, he recorded an incident on his mobile phone, which became viral on social media.
