At least four individuals were reportedly diagnosed with diarrhea after eating during the immersion of Lord Ganesha Idol to the village of Kotha Kotad in Rangamplet Mandal in the East Godavari district.
In official release, district physician and medical officer Dr. K. Venkateswara Rao said that affected individuals are stable health and are out of danger.
A village composed of 234 households is currently screened into diarrhea.
The District Collector P. Prasanthi said that a special medical camp was established in the village, where the doctors’ teams were located to monitor the situation.
