The Tindivanam police on Wednesday evening arrested four persons on charges of possession and sale of painkillers. The police also seized 100 tablets, 75 grams of ganja and sodium chloride injections.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team was on patrol at Kidangal near Tindivanam. When four people moving suspiciously were questioned, they were found to be harboring painkillers intended for sale.
Charges — S. Soundararajan, 26, R. Sanjay, 23, S. Prasanna Raj, 21, and S. Manoharan, 23, of Tindivanam, were arrested for illegal possession of tablets and ganja. They were brought before a local court and remanded in custody.
