Three family members were killed on the spot when their car was struggling with a truck near Tiruttani in Tamil Nadu, 65 km from Chittoor, early on Monday. The deceased were identified as Humayyun, a former sarpanch of the Mandal Paner in the district of Annamayya, his son and brother. When the accident occurred, the medical treatment of Humayyun’s son was on their way to Chennai. The impact left the car with a running clutter.
The Tiruttani police registered the case and started further investigation. The bodies were moved to the hospital in the Tiruttani area for post mortem and later handed over to members of the deceased family on Monday evening.
Minister of Transport Mandidalli Ramprasad Reddy, who represents the constituent district of the Rayachni assembly in the district of Annamayya, expressed a shock in the incident and offered condolences to the survivors family. He also assured them of all the support of the state government.
