Former Principal of Pachaiyappa’s College NK Narayanan passed away

NK Narayanan, former principal of Pachaiyappa’s College, Chennai, died on Monday. He was 96.

He is survived by a son and a daughter. His other son, N. Rajendran, who was the former Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, died recently and his wife died a few years ago. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m., sources close to the family said.

The Tamil Nadu History Congress condoled his death and recalled his eloquence and oratorical skills, his mastery of Shakespearean theater and his merits that earned him the prestigious UNESCO award.
