
The gang of four people decorated 30 monarchs of gold jewelry, silver objects and cash from the house of former President Panchayat in Edaanulagur Village near Polur in Tiruvannamei. The police said the victim was identified as P. Kotteshwari, 45. After her husband died a few years ago, she lived only with her three children working in Chennai. The initial question revealed that Kotteshwari slept at home when the gang broke the main door of the house at midnight. When she tried to increase the alarm, the gang reportedly attacked her and tied her to a chair. Gang took gold jewelry in cabinets, silver objects and 10,000 Rs. The gang sprinkled the chili powder in the house to avoid the detection before they fled from the place. The police said Kotteshwari managed to divorce after a while and threw themselves to the neighbors who warned the Chetpet Police. Together with cut off dogs and forensic experts, the police inspected the house. Fingerprints were taken. The police also set out shots along the route where the house was placed. The police superintendent (SP) M. Sudhakar created special teams to charge the culprits. A case was registered. The probe is running.
