Tait previously served as a bowling coach of PakistanWest Indies and Afghanistan. He was also the head coach of the Chittagong Kings in Bangladeshi Premier League (BPL) 2025.
He also held coaching roles with teams in Big Bash League (BBL), Pakistan’s Super League (PSL), Lankan Premier League (LPL) and the English district. Tait was looking forward to working with head coach Bangladesh Phil Simmons.
“It is advisable to participate in the Bangladesh cricket team right now, a little new era if you like it. His appointment has been spoken of many times about his appointment – about young talent with fast pitchners – which is great,” he said.
“It is an international cricket, not a development team, and everyone expects the talent to bring results, which is largely my focus with a quick bowling group and most importantly, gets more winners,” Tait said.
“Having the opportunity to work with Phil Simmons is just as exciting and I look forward to the journey forward,” Tait added.
Tait will have a chance to cooperate with as Nadid Rana, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud and others.
In six tests, 35 ODI and 21 T20is, now 42 -year -old Tait raised 95 goals with two four goals to his name.
Bangladesh will also prepare for locking corners with connected Arab Emirates (SAE) in the series of two T20i matches at the Shariah cricket stadium.
