Punjala Shiv Shankar was a warrior who worked tirelessly on the rise of the BCS (BCS) in the country, said President Andhra Pradesh State Joint Action Committee (JAC) Chandu Janardhan.
At the meeting organized by Kapu, Bc, SC, ST and minority authorities in the State in memory of the 96th anniversary of the birth of Minister Shiva Shankar in Vijayawada on Sunday, Mr. Janardhan, Mr. Janardhan paid the ships of the former and remembered how worth Vangaveti Mohan.
Former Minister and TDP MLA Kanna Lakshminaayana said that the reason he became MLA was Shiv Shankar. In 1989 he remembered when his form of B-form (party) changed, it was Shiv Shankar, who personally ensured that Rajiv Gandhi directly handed him Form B. “Shiv Shankar had an eye to identify and encourage activists in the leadership of national level,” he said.
JSP had Mandali Budha Prasad that Shiv Shankar came from a modest background, but due to hard work and determination increased to a great height. Initially he practiced the right after obtaining the title of the right to Osmania University and was appointed judge in the High Court Andhra Pradesh around 1974-75. Within one year, however, resigned to return to legal practice and become one of the few judges.
Soon thereafter, he was appointed Minister of Trade Law in the Indra Gandhi Cabinet (1980–82) and later took over roles such as Minister of Oil and Energy.
Vijayawada Central Mla Bond Uma remembered his frequent visits to the office and the residence of Shiva Shankar together with Vangaveeti Ranga.
Congress Vice -Chairman Andhra Pradesh and leader BC Kolanual Shivaji, who chaired the meeting, said Shiv Shankar was a multilateral leader who used his talent, wisdom and diligence as a lawyer, judge and trade union minister to work for rage BCS.
