Former Minister Haryana and Head of the Congress leader Karan Dalal wrote to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and pointed out what he called “ongoing illegal and unlimited” sand mining along the Yamuna River, especially in the districts of Palwal, Faridabad, Sonipat and Yamuna Nagar.
He sought out “urgent, solid and exemplary events” against all individuals and entities involved.
In a detailed nine -sided letter, which indicated numerous violations, Mr. Dala claimed that the “systematic and large magnifying glass” of the Yamuna riverbed, organized by a “strong, well organized and influential mafia of sand mining”, which works with a doctrine hope.
