Outlawed former CPI (Maoist) central committee member Pulllur Prasad Rao Alias Chandranna was given a warm welcome by the villagers of his native vadkapur in pededapli district mandal on Sunday.
It was an emotional reunion for the 65-year-old former top Maoist leader with his villagers as he entered his native village after spending nearly 45 years in the underground movement.
It may be mentioned that Prasad Rao surrendered before Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadhar Reddy in Hyderabad on October 28 last year.
His relatives, classmates and others garlanded him on his arrival at the village on Sunday afternoon, sources said.
He reminisced about his childhood during a brief contact with some of the village elders and relatives.
