P. Honey, former president of the Kerala Secretariat Employees Association (KSEA)-backed Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), will retire from the post of Additional Secretary on Friday. An active part of the organization for decades, Mr.Honey’s name has cropped up in connection with various controversies in recent years, especially after he received a notice from the Governor for participating in the Raj Bhavan march and for playing a song celebrating Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during the inauguration of the association’s golden jubilee building earlier this year.
