
Former Indian cricket Kedar Jadhav joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Maharashtra Chandrashkhar Bawankule in Mumbai.
“Since 2014, when the BJP government came to power on Wednesday, the kind of love and support they have received, and the type of PM Modi and CM Devendra Fadnavis, I think it is very inspiring and my goal is to follow their traces and contribute to any small contribution that I can for BJP,” Jadhav said.
He added that any responsibility he gets will try with full sincerity.
Last year, Kedar Jadhav announced his departure from the international cricket, four years since his last performance for the national team.
Jadhav welcomed, the head of BJP Bawankle said he welcomes the former cricket because people like him strengthen the party.

Kedar Jadhav debuted in 2014 and was part of Indian groups in 2017 at ICC Champions Trophy and 2019 World Cup Odi, both in England.
He played Jadhav for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Kochi Tuskers Keral, Royal Challengers Bengalur, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He played 95 IPL games and scored 1 208 runs.
