Former Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa has alleged that criminal activities of anti-nationals have increased in Karnataka since the Congress government died in the state.
Speaking to reporters in Shivamogga on Thursday, Mr. Eshwarappa said leaders of the Congress party, which rules the state, were busy lusting for power. There was a queue of leaders to become the CM of the state so the administration collapsed. “Number of murders, stone pelting and assaults are being reported from various cities in the state. The sale of ganja has not been controlled. We have recently come to know that drug factories are active,” he said.
Referring to the recent murder of a schoolboy in Shivamogga, he wanted to know what the CM’s reaction would be if someone from his family was murdered. “Innocents are being tortured. The state government has failed to control crimes,” he noted.
He further alleged that the Congress party high command has remained mute on developments regarding the change in leadership in the state. “I don’t know if the Congress high command is alive. I wish both the CM and the DCM would stage a dharna in front of the Vidhana Soudha and put pressure on the party high command to clarify the confusion over the change in leadership,” he said.
