
Former Main Minister Yagan Mohan Reddy was appointed as an accused in the Hit-and-Run case, the IGP Sarvashresta Tripati and Guntur S. Satish Kumar announced at a press conference on Sunday.
The incident occurred during the program of Mr. Reddy tour 18th.
When the convoy reached near the statue of Anjaneya Swama at the bypass of etukur, the police station was under the limits of the police station near Guntur, the police received information about a road accident, they said. The case was then reclassified according to sections 105 and 49 BNS.
Six individuals – Mr. Jagan, his driver Ramana Reddy and former Ministers of the Pernkoamaiaha and Vidadal Rajini, former deputy YV Subba Reddy and Mr. Jagan Pa K. Nageswar Reddy – were named as accused. Legal proceedings are underway, the police added.
