Rishabh Pant.” Ahead of the upcoming Test series against South Africa, the wicketkeeper-batsman reflected on his journey to recovery and the importance of gratitude in difficult times.“It’s never easy to come back after an injury, but God has been kind to me,” Pant said in the video. “Every time I go on the field, I look up and thank God, my parents, my family and everyone who supported me. Pant talked about staying calm and disciplined during the recovery phase. “There are so many things that can affect you, but if your mind is in the right place, you will find happiness. When you’re injured, you have to work hard, stay disciplined and enjoy what you’re doing. That’s when you really grow,” he added.Pant broke his leg during the Manchester Test against England on 24 July after attempting a reverse sweep. Although scans revealed a fracture, he returned to bat when India needed him most. However, an injury ruled him out of the rest of the series.He returned to cricket in the two-match unofficial Test series against South Africa A, where he captained the team. Pant scored 90 in the second innings of the first Test to lead India A to a three-wicket victory and followed it up with a fluent 65 in the second match. South Africa A won this game by five wickets with Dhruv Jurel making centuries in both innings.
