The forest observer collapsed and died of a heart attack in the DB Kuppe series Nagarahole Tiger Reserve on Thursday.
The deceased is Raju, 48, from Anemale in HD Kote Taluk. When they came across an elephant, he guarded Suttanahali near the camp with other observers and guards. Raju was overcome by a shock and collapsed, although the elephant did not even have an attack, and therefore it is assumed that he died of cardiac arrest, according to Seem, forest representative, Nagarahole.
She said it was made by post-mortar and the body handed over a member of the deceased family. According to government standards, a compensation of £ 25 will be released into the surviving family.
