
The forest department has begun steps to strengthen coordination committees at the district level to intensify the efforts to alleviate human conflicts at local level.
In this regard
The district committees are convened every month to assess the situation on the ground and take the necessary measures. These panels will play a key role in planning and implementing initiatives and also to ensure the participation of officials from various departments and local representatives.
Each committee at the district level will be chaired by the Minister for the authorization of the district and will include key officials such as the district collector, head of the district police, division forest officer (DFO), district physician, representatives of the local self -governing department and SC/WE development department, district agricultural officer and animal district officer.
In addition, members and legislative assembly from the relevant areas participate as a special invitation. DFOs will act as committees of committees.
These monthly committees will be held together with district development meetings to ensure continuous monitoring and proactive response to the incidents of the wildlife conflicts.
