The Ford Motor remembers 850,318 vehicles in the US due to a potential failure of low -pressure fuel pump, which could cause engine standing, the US National Road Traffic Administration said on Thursday.
The defective fuel pump can reduce the fuel flow from the tank to the engine, causing the engine to stop and increase the risk of accident, NHTSA said.
The Automobile Safety Authority received six consumer complaints in which they questioned the loss of energy as a result of a pump failure.
Before the fuel pump failure, drivers may notice poor engine power, including omission, rough running, reduced power or engine control, NHTSA said in dealers.
Failure is more likely if fuel levels are low or in hot weather, added.
Downloads are affected by some Lincoln Aviator, F-150 Trucks and Mustang vehicles. NHTSA estimates that 10% of potentially affected vehicles have a defect.
Ford is still developing a medicine.
