For the first time in nearly two decades, the election commission revised the list of voters of five constituencies for the organization of the Bypolls Assembly in an effort to ensure the “Immaculate” election roles.
Last time there was a special summary revision for Bypoll in 2006 in Tamil Nad, the officials emphasized.
Officials who quoted the provisions of the 1950s Act of 1950 stated that the election role should be revised before each election and bypolle, unless the ES otherwise aims otherwise.
If the election role was not revised, the validity or continuing operation of the election roles should not be influenced, they said and quoted the law.
The validity of the current election war continues until the special revision is completed.
Officials emphasized that the committee decided whether to revise the election roles depending on the requirement.
Bypolls on five assembly seats in four countries will be held on June 19, announced the survey last month.
While two gatherings will be held in Gujarate, each will be held in Kerala, West Bengal and Pandjab. Voting counting will take place on June 23.
