The health department has ordered their officials to perform food safety officials to carry out national inspections to check the authenticity of health cards issued to service staff in hotels, catering units and other food operations for food.
The Directive was issued by a medical department after the suspicion that false medical certificates were issued in a large laboratory to the Pathanamthita eating unit, according to the release on Thursday.
The health department has made it clear that the licenses for food business operations will be suspended if the food operators do not have a health card or have fake health cards.
Warns the doctor
He also warned a doctor to lose a license for medical practice if they were found to issue medical cards without compulsory physical examination of the person in question.
The State made an obligation for all food -operating food operators to have a health card, as stipulated under the Act on the Food Safety and Standards (FSSA). The government also made a vaccine against typhoid via a pharmacy in Karunya for much lower rates for all food cards that have reached the medical card.
It is important that those who have manipulated food in restaurants and catering units undergo a proper medical examination to obtain a health card. This ensures that the food manipulations do not have any bacterial or viral infections that can be transmitted to other food.
The health department insists on the correct medical examination of food service before the issue of health cards to ensure that these persons do not have infectious diseases or skin wounds or infections.
Is valid for one year
The physician should explore the person physically and ensure that she does not have any apparent infections or skin diseases and to take corded vaccines. Blood examination should be performed to check for infectious diseases. The medical certificate should have a signature and seal of a doctor performing and the certificate will be valid for one year.
Under the FSSA law, these medical certificates of food operators in the organization should be kept in a safe custody of their relevant workplaces.
