Food safety officials seized 44 kg of unlabelled food in Narasaraopet

A day after inspecting restaurants in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh food safety officials continued their inspections, this time at Narasaraopet in Palnadu district.

Under the supervision of Director of Food Safety P. Arun Babu, officials inspected kitchen hygiene, food quality and permits of hotels and restaurants in Narasaraopet on Wednesday. During the inspections, food inspectors seized 44 kg of unmarked food products.

Samples of several food products were sent to laboratories for testing. Cases have been registered against RK Restaurant, Jupalli Spices Hotel, H6 Restaurant, Shaz Biryani Point and AK Biryani Point for various hygiene violations.
