Food safety officials raided the restaurant, case booked

Officials of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on Monday raided a restaurant located in Gurunanak Colony in Vijayawada.

Acting on a complaint that the restaurant was serving expired food, a team led by District Assistant Food Controller NTR B. Srinivas and Food Safety Officer S. Ravindra Reddy raided and seized the food.

Mr Srinivas said: “The seized items will be sent to the laboratory for examination. The management of the restaurant has been booked and investigations are on.”
