Food Producers Authority State Coordinator Meets with Governor

State coordinator of Tamil Nadu Nature Food Producers Federation and Chairman of Cholanaadu Farmer Producer Company, Senthilkumar Maruthamuthu, called on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and informed him about the activities of the federation to improve farm income and promote sustainable agriculture.

A press release said Mr. Maruthamuthu told the governor that the Federation had trained and provided livelihood to more than 22,000 farmers in 25 districts, resulting in a 30% increase in agrarian income.

He also talked about expanding 930 acres of chemical free zones in Chengalpattu, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram and Kanchipuram districts and distributing 11.4 tonnes of 21 traditional seed varieties.
