
The Dubai iconic Burj Khalifa was illuminated in the colors of the Indian flag on Monday, August 15, as part of the celebrations indicating the 79th anniversary of India’s independence.
At exactly 19:50, the tricolor lit up the tallest building in the world and attracted the great crowds that gathered to witness the patriotic display.
A video showing the moment showed that the Indian flag cascade along the entire length of the skyscraper, a view that pulled out from the crowd.
The annual tradition of Indian tricolor screening on Burj Khalifa has become a symbolic gesture of friendship between India and the United Arab Emirates. This year’s display was no exception that served as a poignant reminder of the Indian path since gaining independence in 1947.
