The merger of IDGAH Maidan adjacent to Kittur Chennamma Circle of Hubballi was cleaned to make it easier to work on an increased road at a traffic junction.
Work on the wall, which started under police protection on Friday, was completed at a rapid pace to facilitate work. After the prolonged legal battle, the Supreme Court ruled Maidan as Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation with the permission of Anjuman-E-Islam to carry out mass prayer twice a year.
The check -in compound wall and the use of a part of the Maidan were necessary to facilitate the increased circular road in the Chennamma Circle Kittur, which is focused on clearing the transport overload and ensuring smooth passage to those who progress into four national highways passing through the city.
On Friday after the start of the work, the grill was cut with acetylene torches and the wall and the cement structure was removed by the ground. The work was carried out under the supervision of the authorities of the Indian National Motorway Office (NHAI).
To facilitate the project, approximately 10% to 15% of Maidan’s country is used from KC Circle to Sangolli Rayanna Circle. Two pillars will be built opposite the Kamath restaurant and in Sangolli Rayanna Circle and the suburban police station Hubballi is partially demolished.
The NHAI authorities required HDMC (which own land) for demolition and protection against the police on July 23, 2024. As a preventive measure, an area surrounding the “Qibla” wall in Maidan was barricaded by metal leaves.
