Pedestrian safety and the vulnerability of two rounds, overload in areas with high density and accidents Black spots were one of the key priorities discussed during the Cyberabad review meeting on Saturday, May 24.
The meeting was led by the connecting police commissioner Cyberabad (Traffic) Gajarao Bhupal and was attended by transport officials from the whole commissioner.
A detailed assessment of the accident statistics for the first four months of 2024 and 2025 was followed by identifying the recurring zones of the accidents, especially parts of the outer circular roads (ORR), which were marked as black spots. Officials were directed to install suitable markings and safety features in these places to reduce the severity and death of accidents.
Pedestrian security proved to be the main points of concern with the recorded increase in pedestrian accidents. The proposed measures included the installation of barricades at key cross points, maintenance of clear and available sidewalks, and adjusting the signal timing to make it easier for pedestrians. In addition, the Zebra transitions should be properly marked, maintained and strictly enforced.
Another important problem was the wrong management that the violation was divided into contact and non -contact incidents. This data was further analyzed to identify repeated offenders and problematic zones. Another big focus was the CCTV supervision with the performance of existing cameras and identification of new installation sites. The height cameras have already been deployed to remove blind points and recover at pedestrian crossings will now be supported by the camera monitoring.
To alleviate overload, officials discussed improved parking systems and support of the lane discipline, especially in heavy traffic zones. Illegal road structures and interventions, especially those preventing intersections and sidewalks, were marked for removal in coordination with a larger Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
With the approaching monsoon season, the Commissioner ordered teams to prefer open open -air through and maintaining smooth traffic despite the weather -related challenges. He also emphasized the need for differentiated paths for two -wheelers and pedestrians to ensure safety and reduce chaos.
