‘Flybrary’ to come up at Mysuru Airport soon

A ‘Flybrary’ is expected to come up at the Mysuru airport soon, which is expected to give passengers access to various books while waiting for their flights.
A ‘Flybrary’ is expected to be set up soon in the security holding area of Mysuru Airport, aimed at promoting reading among air passengers and increasing passenger engagement at the airport, a Mysuru Airport statement said here.
A book release program for the proposed Flybrary was held on Friday at the Social Hall in the Mysuru airport premises.
The initiative is a joint effort between the Mysuru Airport and the Rotary Club of Mysore West to promote reading among air passengers, a statement said.
During the programme, a collection of books for setting up the proposed ‘Flybrary’ was formally handed over to a representative of the Rotary Club of Mysore West.
Airport Director PV Usha Kumari, Rotary Club Mysore West President Devaraju M., Rotary Club Mysore West Honorary Secretary BM Rudresha along with airport officials, other stakeholders and Rotary Club members attended the event.
Participants on the occasion emphasized the importance of promoting reading habits and creating an enriching experience for passengers.
“The proposed Flybrary is expected to provide passengers with access to a variety of books while waiting for their flight, enhancing passenger engagement at the airport,” it said.
In a statement, the Mysuru Airport expressed its appreciation to the Rotary Club of Mysore West for its valuable contribution and support for this initiative.
