Flash floods in Nepal: 21-member Karnataka LIC team returns to India safely

A team of 21 LIC agents and officers returned safely to India from Nepal.

The team left Belagavi for a tour of North India on 20 August 2026. They visited Kashi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Muktinath.

After crossing the border they reached Lumbini. As they were leaving Lumbini, they came to know about the floods. They abandoned their plans to visit Kathmandu and decided to return.

They reached Delhi on Saturday evening (August 29) and are expected to reach Nippani on Monday (August 31), according to police.
