The leak of the question paper during the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination has raised concerns in Nizamabad district on Wednesday.
The second language documentary, which started at 9:30 am, was reportedly circulated on social media even as the test was ongoing. Some officials reportedly identified the paper in the social media application around 12 noon and were traced to the examination centers at Zilla Parishad High School in Aloor (Armur mandal) and Mendora mandal.
A preliminary investigation revealed that some teachers were allegedly involved in malpractice – sharing the question paper with outside contacts to get answers for the benefit of a few students. The motive for the financial transactions was said to be unrelated to the incident.
The district education authority initially suspended seven teachers, including two principals, three school assistants and two middle school teachers. It was later found that two teachers from the Bodhan examination center did not attend and their suspensions were lifted.
The officials were booked under the provisions of the Telangana Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractice) Act, 1997.
