The Thalassery Sessions Court on Thursday (March 12, 2026) granted conditional bail to five Kerala Students’ Union (KSU) leaders who were in judicial custody in a case related to the alleged attempt to attack Kerala Health Minister Veena George and wave black flags at her at Kannur railway station on February 25, 2026.
Those who have been released on bail are KSU district president MC Athul, VV Akshay, CH Mubas, Bithul Balan and Ammed Yasin. The bail application was filed by lawyer ER Vinod.
The accused was arrested and taken into custody after this incident.
