
The Karimnagar city police have arrested five persons, including a head constable, for allegedly embezzling ₹1.40 crore of government funds by fraudulently collecting salaries in the name of three deceased police constables.
The accused have been identified as Head Constable Neelam Rammohan, currently attached to the Chigurumamidi police station, Muniramaiah, a former administrative officer who was earlier working in the Karimnagar Police Commissioner’s office, and three private persons – L. Ravi, Gangaraju and Shankar.
