
State Task Force (STF) – The team conducted raids at Dhoolpet and seized 5,564 kg of ganja. Four persons, identified as Shyam Sushil, Raja Singh, Kunal and Santosh Singh, have been arrested in connection with the case.
Revenue officials said a case has been registered against seven more persons who are currently absconding. The arrested accused surrendered the ganja and two-wheelers at the Doolpet excise station. Efforts are underway to track down the remaining suspects.
In a separate case, Rangareddy Enforcement Team A operatives arrested Vamsi Mohan Kumar for selling ganja below excise duty limits in Kutlur area of Pedda Amberpet. A total of 545 grams of ganja was seized from his property.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the accused was procuring contraband from Odisha. The two-wheeler used in the commission of the offense was also seized, which was handed over to Excise Station Pedda Amberpet along with the accused for further action.
Further investigations are underway in both cases.
