Police of Kalaburagi arrested five accused, including a minor, for killing a 78 -year -old woman who lived herself in Pethshiroor Village in Chittapur Taluk from the Kalaburagagi district and gained stolen assets.
The death was identified as Jagadevii Resideddabpa Laali, Nate of Pethshshorom.
Police manager addura Srinivasulu, who addressed a press conference on Sunday, said five accused Tanaya Bandgar, Vijaykumar Karegol, Lakshman Talwar and Sanjeev Kumar Karegol were arrested by the police Madbool. All accused are under the age of 25.
Although the accused tried to show the female murder as natural death, the police gathered evidence and reconstructed events that led to a crime and determined the real cause of death.
It was found that the accused had tried to manipulate an act so that the murder appeared as a natural death. They also used the rear entrance to the house to access it and climb.
According to the police, July 10, 2025, the accused entered the house of an older woman and strangled her with sari, stole her gold ornaments, including a necklace, earrings, nose ring and 21,000 in cash. And the police received gold ornaments from the accused and 5,500 GBP in cash.
During the interrogation, the accused confessed to targeting women who are located themselves. The accused also told the police that they had committed crimes to finance their rich hobbies.
