
After reports on heavy rains in the Maharaštře and parts of Karnataka and predictions of heavy rainfall in some districts, the Belagavi District Administration forbade the fishermen to join the water bodies.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan issued orders of temporary ban on fishing in rivers, lakes, standing waters of dams and other water formations considered dangerous. Orders will stand until other orders.
The release of water from the Maharashtra has increased slightly. The overall discharge at the Kallolo color at the interstate border was about 91,892 CUSECS. Compared to the middle release of 90,433 CUSEC, it was increased by 1,459 CUSEC, the officials said.
The influx of LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI nad Krišná in Almatti increased slightly on Thursday. The tide was about 96,445 CUSEC (8.7 TMCFT). The drain was brought up to one Lakh covers or 9.09 TMCFT. The dam now has 87.9 TMCFT or 71% full tank level 123 TMCFT.
The tributary to Histy Hippargi was around 93,500 CUSECS and the drain was about 92,750 cusecs. Since the tide was high in the Krishna River, the river was in a state of free flow, so storage was not carried out in the monsoon period, the officials said.
The tide to the Raja Lakhamagouda reservoir at Ghataprabha in Hidkal was about 16 215 Cusecs and the drain was 1,454 CUSECS. The dam has approximately 33.2 TMCft water against full capacity of 51 TMCFT.
The tide to the Renuka Sagar dam on Malaprabha in the sandatti increased to about 4,732 CUSECS due to collisions in the Khanapur region. The drain was about 194 cusecs. The dam has about 19 TMCft water against a full capacity of 37 TMCFT.
