
PM modi in London Live: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his British counterpart Keir Starmer in London, before the expected signature of the Agreement on the Dominant Agreement on Free Trade in the UK (FTA). The high -level meeting comes when both nations are preparing to complete an agreement that should significantly strengthen bilateral economic relations and deepen strategic cooperation.
The bilateral meeting took place in the historic Hawtry Room, where both leaders organized one-on-one discussion to complete the outlines of what is described as the most complex trade agreement in India and the most important Post-Brexit agreement in India.
Hours before the meeting of Prime Minister Modi, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called India the business agreement “Plan of change in action”.
In the paper on X, Starmer wrote: “The Lower Point agreement with India means jobs, investments and growth in the UK. It creates thousands of British jobs, unlock new opportunities for businesses and puts money in capsules of workers.
According to the British High Commission, the United Kingdom and India trade agreement is ready to increase two -way trade by 25.5 billion GBPs. It is also expected to create thousands of jobs, reduce tariffs, and provide businesses in both countries better access to the markets of others.
During the visit of Prime Minister Modi, both leaders are also likely to launch a British vision of 2035 in the UK-India Vision 2035-comprehensive strategic partnership, which sets a wider plan for cooperation in defense, technology, climate change, education and national security.
“This milech trade agreement with India is the main victory for Britain. It will create thousands of British jobs throughout the UK, unlock new opportunities for businesses and increases growth in every corner of the country,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer said.
He added that the agreement is part of his “plan of change” to help put more money into people’s pockets and support families with living costs.
