
The Directorate for Enforcement (ED) performed 31 July. His first ever search operation on Andaman Nicobar Islands in relation to alleged fraud at the state cooperative bank Andaman Nicobar (ANSC Bank).

Sharma, a 57 -year -old Congress leader, is a former deputy of the Union territory between 2019 and 2024.
He added that the rental equipment of more than £200 Crore was fraudulently received by these entities from ANSCB.
“It has also been revealed that a substantial part of these loans was withdrawn in cash and was paid to recipients, including the former MP Kuldeep Rai Sharma,” the statement added.
Investigations of the Directorate followed companies in the case of a registered crime and economic offense of the police Andaman and Nicobar against various private persons and officials of the bank.
