
The first dose of pilgrims of Hajj 2025 from Jamm and Kashmir is ready to go to Mecca in Saudi Arabia on Monday 4 May. According to reports, 178 pilgrims launched their sacred journey from the International Airport Srinagar and mark the beginning of this season Hajj from the region.

What is Hajj 2025 dressing for men and women?
During Hajj, Muslim men wear special clothes called ihram. It consists of two ordinary white fabrics. One part is wrapped around the waist (Izar) and the other over the shoulder (rida). They cannot wear underwear, socks or sewn clothes and their heads must remain uncovered.
Ihram does not need special clothing. They can wear any modest, loose clothing that covers the whole body except the face and hands. Simple clothes such as long dresses, tunics with pants or abayas are fine. The shoes must cover the whole leg and women should carry scarves or scarves to cover their heads and shoulders.
